We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those whose exceptional efforts have made this website possible. Their dedication, knowledge, and generosity have played a vital role in preserving the history and legacy of Jogwad.
A special mention goes to Haji Shabbirahmad Ibrahim Hasan Patel (رحمه الله), whose invaluable knowledge and memory helped document the rich history of Jogwad, including its Madresa, Masjid, School, Cemetery, and other significant places. On December 2, 2024, we had the honor of meeting him personally at his home. At 86 years old, his mind remained incredibly sharp, remembering every event with precise dates. His contributions were irreplaceable, and through his guidance, we were able to document historical details that would have otherwise been lost. Sadly, he passed away in March 2025. May Allah (SWT) grant him Jannatul Firdaus and reward him abundantly for his efforts. His wisdom and dedication will always be remembered.
Another remarkable contribution comes from Mol. Muhammadiqbal Gulam Desai, whose tireless dedication ensured the preservation of Jogwad’s Muslim Death Records. The tradition of documenting these records dates back decades, and in 1984-85, at just 15 years old, he took on the immense responsibility of maintaining them. With meticulous attention to detail, he recorded every death, ensuring that not a single death note was ever missing. His handwritten records became an essential source of information for Jogwad residents seeking details about their deceased relatives. Recognizing the importance of this legacy, his son, Aezaz Desai, took the initiative to digitize these records, making them accessible online. Today, the Muslim Death Notes of Jogwad Village page exists only because of Mol. Muhammadiqbal Gulam Desai’s unwavering commitment. His efforts have given Jogwad residents the ability to trace their ancestry and honor their loved ones with ease. May Allah (SWT) bless him for his invaluable service to the community.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the administration, staff, and trustees of the School, Madresa, and other institutions who took the time to assist us by providing valuable information about their organizations. Their cooperation has been instrumental in making this website a comprehensive and authentic source of knowledge. May Allah (SWT) bless them for their kindness and generosity.
