A Story of Vision, Dedication, and Community
The origins of Jogwad.com trace back to 2006, when Mr. Sadiq Patel, a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) from the UK, took the initiative to build the first-ever website dedicated to Jogwad Village. During his visit to Jogwad that year, he saw the need for an online platform to connect Jogwadwalas living abroad with their roots. His vision was simple yet powerful: to create a digital space where people could stay informed about the village, share memories, and preserve the cultural and historical essence of Jogwad.
With limited time and resources, Sadiq Patel developed the website using basic HTML. It featured a Home Page and a Gallery Section, where he uploaded photographs he personally took of Jogwad’s streets, houses, farms, and madrasas. The website’s menu (as seen in the old version) listed multiple sections, including History, Panchayat, Village School, Football Club, and Charitable Trust, but these pages were never built due to time constraints. Since Sadiq Patel was an NRI with a busy schedule, he was unable to expand the website further, leaving it in its original state from 2006 to 2019.
Despite its simplicity and limitations, the website served a significant purpose. It was the first digital representation of Jogwad, offering a glimpse into the village for those living far away. For over a decade, it remained untouched, standing as a historic milestone in Jogwad’s digital journey.
In 2019, Soyeb Patel took the initiative to redesign and modernize the website, but it still lacked comprehensive updates and interactive features. The real transformation came in 2025, when Aezaz Desai revamped the website completely, incorporating a modern design, rich content, and new functionalities to make it an informative and engaging platform for Jogwadwalas worldwide.
The journey of Jogwad.com, from a simple HTML site in 2006 to a fully-fledged digital hub in 2025, reflects the dedication of multiple contributors who shared a common goal: to keep Jogwad’s history, culture, and people connected through the power of the internet.

Connecting Jogwadwalas worldwide, preserving history, and sharing updates about Jogwad
To create a centralized and regularly updated platform for the Jogwad community
Detailed history of Jogwad, News, events, and community updates, Bilingual support (English & Gujarati), Newsletter subscriptions, Death records management since 1935, etc.
In 2009, Aezaz Desai discovered the website and recognized its potential to be much more than just a simple informational page. He dreamed of transforming it into a comprehensive platform that would provide up-to-date details about Jogwad, covering its history, culture, and ongoing developments. However, before this vision could be fully realized, Soyeb Patel stepped in and modernized the website’s design, giving it a refreshed look. While this update was significant, the content remained limited in scope, leaving room for further growth and improvement.
After years of anticipation and planning, in 2025, Aezaz Desai finally brought his vision to reality by creating the latest version of Jogwad.com. This new iteration was built with the goal of providing detailed, accurate, and regularly updated information about Jogwad. Unlike its previous versions, the new website is designed to be a centralized digital hub where residents, visitors, and Jogwadwalas living abroad can explore the village’s history, events, and progress. With a focus on continuous updates, the website now serves as a reliable and evolving source of information.
The essence of Jogwad.com extends beyond just being a website—it is a digital bridge that connects generations. Our mission is to preserve Jogwad’s rich heritage, document its ongoing progress, and ensure that future generations can access valuable information about their hometown. This platform is built to reflect the pride, history, and culture of Jogwad, making it an invaluable resource for both locals and those with deep ties to the village.
The journey of Jogwad.com would not have been possible without the dedication of key individuals and the support of the community. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sadiq Patel for initiating the website in 2006, the Jogwad UK Association for managing its early versions, Soyeb Patel for modernizing the design in 2019, and Aezaz Desai for completely revamping it in 2025 with modern features and detailed content. Most importantly, we thank the Jogwad community worldwide, whose love and connection to the village continue to inspire this platform.
